This is an excellent service for both individuals and small businesses. It enables you to log into your PC remotely from anywhere in the world. We use it. Sometimes to log in to home PC from office, sometimes the other way round. It does cost $15 a month, so many individuals would not be interested. For others we recommend the free trial. Picasa - use this to manage your digital photos
Picasa is a free Windows program from Google that you use to manage digital photos on your computer, and makes sharing them with friends very simple.
By signing up for a free account you can email photos from within Picasa and the program takes care of the necessary resizing. We have a tutorial on emailing photos, but Picasa is a better alternative for those of you who do not use Outlook, Outlook Express or Thunderbird for email.
The first time the program runs it searches your computer's hard drive for all photos, and presents them a nice logical way. This may take some time depending on how many pictures you have. I discovered that there were several sets of pictures that I'd forgotten I'd taken and yet others with many duplicates, where I'd forgotten that I'd downloaded them!
